Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from catering and hospitality buyers

What is the difference between the heat lamp and the heated base plate?

The overhead infrared lamp keeps the exposed surface of the food hot, which is what matters for carved meat, roasts and gratin tops. The thermostatically controlled base plate holds the whole pan from underneath. Running both together is what stops a large pan from going cold in the middle.

How precisely can I control the base temperature?

The front-mounted digital LED controller with touch buttons lets you set and read the glass-ceramic plate temperature up to 90C. That covers hot-holding for cooked meats, sauces and side dishes without drying them out.

What power supply does the workstation need?

The infrared bulb draws AC220V 238W and the heating plate draws a further AC220V 400W, so plan for roughly 640W per unit on a single configuration. We can supply 110V builds for North American and Japanese markets.

What does the "T" version add?

The T variants (HL-W101-T / HL-W102-T, factory ref BJ661T / BJ662T) add an adjustable clear tempered glass sneeze guard between the lamps and the food. It keeps the heat path open while protecting open food, which is normally required for self-service lines.

How do I clean the glass-ceramic warming surface?

Switch off and let the plate cool completely, then wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Black glass-ceramic shows streaks easily, so avoid abrasive pads and finish with a dry microfibre cloth.

What are the MOQ, lead time and customisation terms?

MOQ is 50 pcs with 25-30 days production after deposit. OEM and ODM options include lamp count, copper dome finishes, sneeze guard configuration, logo and packaging.
